A Warm welcome…. 2013 & so much more

Life threw me a curve ball this past spring, when I thought I was doing better, my world spiraled down.  I got very sick, and to make a very long journey shortened for here, I came close to death but God saw me through it.  I am here, I am healing and life for 2013 is on the move already. I came back into Second Life a little over two weeks ago, and trying very slowly to get my ‘SL’ back on track.   So many goodies in the mix (even a show for the Michela Benazzi Modeling agency) but not going to spoil that one for you just yet.

Today, I’d like to share with you my first ‘official’ step back.  Walking the runway this Sunday with Opium in a fantastic Winter Show that will reflect real life runway shows.  This show is filled with some of Second Lifes greatest designs, including Azul, Bubbles, Violator,   Strip’d Designs,    Prism,  Sonia, Vero Modero, and   Hoorenbeek.   I’d love to give you sneak peek at the outfits I’m going to be showing on Sunday.

First, is a designer so near and dear to my heart, Miss Mami Jewell of Azul, the gown is called Ligia.  It is available in alternative colors, (which I’m not wearing Onyx but I’ll show you the design here today!)  You’ll have to come to the show to see the lovely color that is selected for Sunday.  So, Ligia, is yet another favorite of mine.  Long flowing layers form a beautifully full skirt. A delicate hem forms a defined waistline to this princess style gown. Sheer opera length gloves give this style a beautiful finish.  I accessorized with dazzling diamonds from Jewelry by Zuri, and shoes are from none other than Dinki-Di Shoes designer Tinkerbell Footpad.  Floating on a cloud into the beautiful tomorrows.

Next we have a cute design by Bubbles called Rudy.  This outfit comes complete with a flattering fedora, and neck tie (I am wearing a scarf that is not included in the design package.)  Simply stunning and breathtaking.  Fun, flirty and phenomenal! Where do I start?

Most know I’ve been out of world for several weeks.  Imagine my surprise when I returned to so many beautiful designs!  Our designers in SL are by far some of the best in the world ~easy peasy!

So where do I start?  Oh where do I start?

I drew names, and well here we go….

Our very own Kimmera Maddison steps up to the plate with two new designs.  Tres Beau is not behind when it comes to mesh!  There are many who complain about mesh, but allow me to show you more reasons to LOVE it!

Sabyn (shown here in red) is a colorful delight.  An inspiring array of design, wraps over the fabric like golden rays of sunshine. A light sheer tank top keeps everything inline.  The depth of this design is simply breath taking. It is a must have for all!

Next, we have Dotia.

A fun flirty formal gown made in true Tres Beau beauty! A big bow decorates the waistline in Southern sexy allure. The big brim black hat even comes with the gown!  You will be the true belle of the ball wearing Dotia.  Kimmera always put such care and intricate design into her fabrics.  These two are no different the luxury and elite air these designs illuminate are simply the best.

RMH FUNDRAISER

RMH Charity Fashion show

For 37 years the Ronald McDonald House has been committed to helping families of children who are in need of more than medicine and treatments.  Providing a stable environment during hospital visits and treatments, gives children and their parents a loving approach to healing.  Our family learned the value of RMH personally, July 10, 2009.  My niece, Libby Claire not even two years of age,  took a very bad fall while on vacation.  If you would like to read the story, Caringbridge holds it all.

go to the journal and read oldest to newest.  One thing I remember from that time is the call, saying Libby may not make it.  Over time I am happy to say Libby has bloomed into quite a beautiful girl.  During the battle, RMH opened their doors, hearts, and love to her parents and siblings.  They were able to be with Libby through it all.  I will never be able to tell you what a blessing that was.  RMH will always remain precious to our family, and during the recent opening of the new Charlotte, NC RMH Libby was even asked to be a spokes model Shes appeared on billboards and a variety of advertisements.

It is by far an honor to give back to RMH in any method we can.   If you have ever had the need for RMH, you too will know they are there when you need them.  No questions asked.  That is why I would like to take this opportunity to give back.  No child should have to battle any illness or treatment alone.  That hug, touch or smile from family is healing too!

So what are we doing?

SATURDAY MARCH 31th, 11AM  SLT BOSLs PATCH THIBAUD AUDITORIUM

There will be a charity Fashion show with several of Second Lifes top models, along with a wonderful auction.  All monies raised will go directly to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.  Direct donation boxes will also be onsite, as well as a set of extended 12hr auction boards. Exclusive, limited, and new/recent release designs will be showcased and auctioned off, as well as other great items and opportunities.  This is one event you do not want to miss.

LaVie…New Skin, New Look, ahhh New Love

Something about finding a new skin that just absolutely love, that is just amazing.  You know what I mean!  Well LaVie has long since been a favorite in my book.  I have to be honest I’ve worn 1 skin design since I was chosen as Miss USA For the MVW contest.  Took a lot to have me step outside that bubble.  But hey its almost a year later (where did that year go?!?!) and I figured why not peek.  Boy am I glad I did.  LaVie’s new Meimei is simply amazing.  Normally with my blog photos I spend time  in Photoshop with the images.  This time they are raw for a reason.  I want you to see the spectacular work that has been put into this skin design.   Pompeja Rossini has outdone herself.  Take a peek at a sample of this great skin  pack then get your shape down to LaVie and put some new skin on that ava!  See you there!

I am slowly loving Mesh

I have to admit I am one of those who stayed away from mesh as long as I could.  I did not like the idea of having to build a shape for every change of clothing I wear.  Lets face it, a model changes clothes A LOT!  My inventory is quite over filled, so my thought is why do something unnecessary?   Yet then I began to drool over so many of the new designs out and now I’m hooked. Mohna takes that ‘shape edit’ problem right out of the mix by supplying a  mix of different shape options right in the package!    This new design by Mohna Lisa Couture is no different.  Called, Kerasia and shown here in  Blueberry you can easily see why.

An elegance unfolding, in sheer shimmering fabric cascades over a ladies lovely form.  Adorning flowers accent the short gloves and shoulder piece.  A deep blueberry color adds to the unique blend of this design.  Delicate lines define the bodice that flows into a mermaid style skirt.  This is a beautiful gown that comes in both a deep red and this beautiful dark blue.  I hope you will enjoy it as I do, another stunning design by the talented Mohna Lisa.

STREAMED DREAMS ~ A CYBERPUNK FASHION TALE ~ Sunday 1pm slt

I was honored when I was approached to work with this truly amazing show, featuring the designs of L+N Fashions.  Just the set alone is worth showing up, the clothes are even more amazing!!!  I am not going to share much because this is one not to be missed.  I will tell you though during rehersal, I happened to see Love Fiertz in one amazing gown.  I had to snap a photo just to give you a bit of a teaser for the show.  (Also to brag, this is one amazing design!!)

Called A Gift of Beauty this amazing creation will turn heads when you walk into the room.  crimson gifts forming her skirt, into a long cascading train.  A sassy yet sexy ruffle cascades over the shoulder while the mesh form fitting bodice shows off her lovely curves.  Long formal gloves come with the design, and the package…well lets just say who is going to be surprised with this gorgeous gift?

L+ N is know for amazing designs, this is a show you can not miss.  Another personal favorite.. SPLASH!  You’ll have to come see that one!  As for me I’ll be there hosting.  See you at the show… Limo below

Elegance at Purple Moon

I was  astounded at the beautiful gown recently released by the talented Poulet Koenkamp, top designer and owner of Purple Moon.    Lucia shown here in Pearl is simply breath taking.

A flowing gown with a rippling skirt lightly moves with each step across the dance floor.  The bodice is like none I have ever seen inworld  A sculpted wrap fits perfectly around the bodice, with a sexy low slice in the front.  Delicate ruffles cascade off the shoulder beautifully adorning the bodice, and flowing freely in a tail of sheer material  that moves with each evening breeze.  Short lace gloves add the perfect touch to this elegant look.  This is an amazing design, with a realistic detail of silken pearl fabric.  I instantly moved this one to my ‘favorites’ folder, and I know it will find its way out of my closet so very many times.  I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.
